DAY 01 Arrival Yangon

Mingalar bar! You will be welcomed by our Guide at Airport and transferred to hotel.

Start your Sightseeing of Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon. City tour, with as highlights our visit to the massive reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda; Kandawgyi Park; the royal floating barge named Karaweik Palace; and the world-famous golden stupa, Shwedagon Pagoda, whose golden dome rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold.

DAY 02 Yangon Circular Train & National Museum

After breakfast, transfer to the Railway station to take a slow-moving circular train to the outskirts of town. On the board, you can observe the lively and colorful life of the rural Burmese people. Disembark in one such suburb and continue exploring by local trishaw, gaining deeper insight to the daily lives of the residents of Yangon. Head back toward the city center and enjoy a city tour around the down town area, which is filled with various historical buildings. Photo stop at St. Mary Cathedral, Independent Monument at City Center and Post office.

Conclude the tour with a visits to the National Museum, the best place to learn the history of Myanmar.

DAY 03 Yangon-Bagan/ Sightseeing in Bagan

After breakfast we fly to Bagan for a comprehensive tour of this beautiful ancient city, one of Myanmar’s premier historical and cultural centres, home to more than 2,000 temples and pagodas ! Our tour includes shrines such as Ananda, Htilominlo, Thatbyinnyu, Dhammayangyi, Sulamani, and Shwezigon Pagoda, plus secular sights such as Nyaung U market and traditional workshops.

DAY 04 Cycle tour of Bagan & lunch at monastic riverside

After breakfast, enjoy a cycle (or) E bike tour around stunning Bagan with a mix of villages, pagodas and landscapes.

Continue to a monastery to learn about monastic life in Myanmar and enjoy lunch under the shady tree on the bank of Irrawaddy River.

Late afternoon boat tour on the Irrawaddy River, finishing as the sun sets on riverside villages and temples.

DAY 05 Bagan- Kalaw/ Visit an extinct Volcano

This morning leave Bagan and drive to Kalaw, an old hill station with a laid back atmosphere, refreshing climate and scenic views.

On the way we will stop at a local palm tree plantation, a typical Local Village and Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with spectacular views and shrines associated with Myanmar Nats spirits, said to be born here, making this volcano a major centre of pilgrimage. Arrive to Kalaw in the late afternoon and check into hotel.

This evening is free at leisure.

DAY 06 Kalaw Elephant Camp Visit & plant a regional tree

This morning transfer from Kalaw to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, which is the home for retired timber elephants, which had spent their lives lugging logs around and offers the visitors to join their day care program of Elephants and forest recovery program that built around visitor participation.

Upon Arrival, Welcome by the GHV team and inform about project. Start your exploration with Walking (5-7mins) to elephant village and see the life of mahouts with their families. The guide will introduce with the elephants and feed them with the daily prepared food. Then team will lead you to the river where elephant bath and you can join for washing elephants like your owned pet. Walk back to the main camp and have a lunch. Then, you can explore around the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids in the conservation area with local trekking guide. You may join to plant a regional tree for the forest recovery efforts. Return to main camp and enjoy the view through valley. In the late afternoon, we will return to kalaw.

Day 07 Trekking to hill tribes Villages & Stay overnight at Monastery

After breakfast, start walking directly from your hotel. It takes 3 hours to Ywa Thit and another 20 minutes to Taryaw village. Both villages are Palaung tribe villages. Here you can observe Palaung family houses and the fermented tea making process. Another 45 minutes’ walk will take you to a viewpoint for the lunch stop. On the way to the Palaung villages you can see tea and oranges plantations and nice scenic landscape. After lunch, continue for 1hr to Hin Ka Kone, Palaung village. From there we have to walk another 2 hrs to Myin Dike, Danu village where we are going to have a traditional dinner and stay overnight at a friendly local family house or a Monastery. (B, L)

Day 08 Trekking to Hill tribes Villages & Myin Ma Hti Cave visit
After breakfast, resume trekking to Myin Dike railway station by walking for about 30 minutes. After taking photos at the Railway Station, continue to walk for 30minutes to Ywa Pu, Taung Yoo village and another 2hrs to Myin Ma Hti cave and take a break for lunch there. After lunch, continue to Kalaw passing through pine for rests walking a mountainous path for about 2.5 hrs. Drive to Inle Lake and check into hotel.

Day 08 Trekking to Hill tribes Villages & Myin Ma Hti Cave visit

After breakfast, resume trekking to Myin Dike railway station by walking for about 30 minutes. After taking photos at the Railway Station, continue to walk for 30minutes to Ywa Pu, Taung Yoo village and another 2hrs to Myin Ma Hti cave and take a break for lunch there. After lunch, continue to Kalaw passing through pine for rests walking a mountainous path for about 2.5 hrs. Drive to Inle Lake and check into hotel.

Day 09 Special Boat trip in Inle Lake - workshops of traditional artisans

Early in the morning, you will visit the 5-day market which rotates on a 5-day basis between 5 villages. After the market continue to a Silk & Lotus weaving factory at Kyine Kham village. People here are well-known to produce the most unique lotus fabric only available from Inle Lake. The factory is less frequented by tourist and provides a more authentic experience. Then, you will continue to a village called Se Khaung where you can observe the process of making various kinds of iron ware. As the village is known as black smith village and most of the people earn their livings from making iron ware. After that, you will start walking from that village to Alodaw Pauk Pagoda which takes for about 30 minutes. The boat will wait for you at the Alodaw Pauk jetty. You will continue to a floating village called Paukpa village to visit to a stilt house and take a break for a cup of tea, while having chit chat with friendly local families.

After that, you will take Inthar’straditional home-cooked lunch at Nampan village. After finishing lunch, you are going to see the floating garden where the Inthar people grow different kinds of vegetables. Then, you will resume your trip to Myaynigone village to see how they make local cracker by walking around the village for about 30 minutes.

DAY 10 Bike,Boat and Kayaking in Inle lake

After breakfast, we will cycle to Khaung Daing town through the local villages and countryside of Inle Lake. Out here you'll get to witness genuine local life away from the masses, spotting water buffalo, farmers and people on boats going about daily business along the way.

At Khaung Daing, we’ll take a looping ride through the village from house to house seeing medieval bread kilns, tofu production, rice wine distilling, rice cracker drying and maybe some bright red chilies being bagged up for market; there will also be a chance to sample some of these specialties along the way.

After exploring Khaung Daing and refueling on local snacks we hop into our long-tail boat. This trip takes us through the maze of floating gardens unique to Inle Lake, taking advantage of ample hydration and used to grow a variety of seasonal vegetables and greens atop the water. Enjoy home-cooked lunch at a local Shan house.

After a short rest to let lunch settle and soak up the picturesque views across the lake we will then take to the kayaks for a laid back paddle taking us through three villages, floating tomato gardens and across a stretch of open lake.

Following our kayak, we will return to Hotel by boat.

DAY 11 Departure

This morning there may be some free time for packing before our airport transfer and return flight to Yangon. Connect your International flight at Yangon airport.
